🔧 Installation & Compatibility
How much space does the fluid take up under the sink?
The filter body measures 37 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter. This is something to check before buying: if you have shelves or a lot of storage under your sink, you may need to reorganize the space or remove a shelf. You can fix the system to the wall or cabinet to optimize space.
What if I'm not comfortable with the installation?
If you are not comfortable working on your under-sink unit or if your configuration is complex, we have a partnership with MesDépanneurs to assist you with the installation.
I am a tenant, can I install Fluide?
Yes. The fluid simply connects between the cold water supply and your tap. No permanent modification is required. If you move, you can take everything with you.
Can I take Fluide with me if I move?
Yes, absolutely. Unscrew, take away, reinstall. It's your system, it follows you.
What water pressure is needed?
Maximum pressure supported: 6 bar. If you have normal pressure in your home, it will work.
Does the fluid work with an electric water heater?
Yes. The fluid connects to the cold water inlet only. Operating temperature: between 4°C and 38°C.
Can I use Fluide for well water?
No. Fluide is designed for mains water, which is already treated and potable. Well water requires different types of treatment.
⚙️ Usage & Maintenance
How much filtered water can I get?
Flow rate: 4 liters per minute. Total capacity: 11,300 liters, enough for one year of pure water for an average household.
Is the flow rate as fast as a normal tap?
Yes, 4 liters per minute is more than enough to fill a carafe, a kettle or a saucepan without waiting.
Can I use Fluide water for cooking?
Yes. The fluid simply connects between the cold water supply and your tap. No permanent modification is required. If you move, you can take everything with you.
Does the fluid make noise?
No, no noise at all. No pump, no motor.
Does the system take up space on my work surface?
No, everything is under the sink. Nothing is visible in your kitchen.
Do I need to clean something regularly?
No. You just change the filter and rinse the inside of the filter housing once a year.
How do I know when to change the filter?
We'll send you an email reminder before the date. You can also write the date on a sticker provided with the system.
Is it complicated to change the filter?
No. Turn off the water, unscrew the filter housing, remove the old filter, slide in the new one, and screw the filter housing back on. 5 minutes, no tools required. If you've fixed the filter housing to the wall or cabinet, it's even easier.
💳 Subscription
Is there a mandatory subscription?
No, it's optional. But the subscription gives you:
- 10% discount on the filter in the first year
- 15% discount from the second year onwards
- Lifetime warranty on the entire system (except seals) for the duration of the subscription.
- The filter is automatically sent every year; you don't have to manage anything.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription whenever you want, with no commitment and no hidden fees.
How much does the subscription cost?
Essential: €125/year (instead of €139) the first year, then €118/year (instead of €139) thereafter.
Ultra: €179/year (instead of €199) the first year, then €169/year (instead of €199) thereafter.
💧 Water Quality & Performance
What is the difference between Essential and Ultra?
Essential : Activated carbon filtration. Removes chlorine, priority PFAS, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, microplastics.
Ultra : Double carbon filtration + hollow fiber membrane. Everything the Essential model does + elimination of 99.9% of bacteria and >99% of all PFAS (not just the priority ones, all of them).
Does the fluid really remove PFAS?
Yes, the Ultra model achieves 99% PFAS removal (NSF 53 Total PFAS standard). The Essential model also removes PFAS, guaranteeing 99% removal only of the banned PFAS, PFOA and PFOS.
And what about pesticides, heavy metals, and pharmaceuticals?
Yes. Fluid removes chlorine, pesticides, drug residues, lead, copper, and other contaminants (NSF 401 standard).
Does Fluide remove minerals from water?
No. Unlike reverse osmosis, Fluide retains essential minerals (calcium, magnesium). It removes what shouldn't be there, not what's good for you.
Does it change the taste of the water?
Yes, but better. No more chlorine taste, softer, more neutral water.
My tap water is already fine, what's the point?
Even if your water meets the standards (63 criteria tested), there are over 100,000 chemical substances in the environment. Fluide adds a layer of security, especially against emerging contaminants (PFAS, microplastics, pharmaceutical residues) that are not routinely monitored.
My TDS isn't going down, is that normal?
Yes. TDS measures ALL dissolved solids, including beneficial minerals (calcium, magnesium). The fluid retains these minerals, so the TDS remains stable. This indicates that your water is mineralized.
Fluid vs reverse osmosis: what's the difference?
Reverse osmosis is the most efficient filtration technique and removes everything (including beneficial minerals). However, it returns 2 to 5 liters of water for every 1 liter filtered, and requires a large under-sink tank. Fluid retains the minerals, wastes nothing, consumes no electricity, and takes up less space.
Liquid vs. filter jug?
A water filter pitcher primarily filters out taste (chlorine), but doesn't block bacteria, microplastics, pesticides, or PFAS. And pitcher cartridges saturate quickly (1 month max). Fluide offers professional filtration for 12 months.
Liquid vs. bottled water?
Bottled water is expensive, generates waste, and isn't any safer than tap water (microplastics may be present). Fluide gives you cleaner, plastic-free water for less.
Is it really more sustainable than bottled water?
Yes. A family that drinks 2 liters/day from a bottle consumes approximately 700 bottles/year. With Fluide: zero bottles. Only the filter needs changing every 12 months, and it's collected for recycling.
Does the fluid waste water like reverse osmosis?
No. Zero waste. Every liter filtered = one liter drunk.
